Increasingly a number of individuals with aging parents, or someone no longer being able to reside completely alone, decides to move into a smaller family oriented residence such as Cheshire. As you are aware Cheshire is in a residential home environment setting within a neighbourhood community. We promote independence, freedom of choice and lifestyle. We truly believe if you don't use it, you lose it!

You could possibly be the ideal candidate, if you are between the ages of 18-65 with one or more physical disabilities! If you have been diagnosed with one of these disabilities, (however not limited to just these listed) such as ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Ataxia, Heart and Stroke victim, or an Acquired Brain Injury, look no further! Our home is ideally suited for you!

If you have been assessed by a social worker and your level of care is between 1-4 hours per day, inquire about a possible placement in one of our residences. If you have not been assessed by a social worker and you require an assessment, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information and help with this procedure.

If you are on a disability pension or have a low income, you would benefit from living in a Cheshire residence.

How are our homes and facilities adapted ?

Our residences are structured to provide individual provisions for mobility and safety. Transfer equipment inclusion, wheelchair and walker provisions, adapted bathrooms and kitchens, are easily accomodated with safety and comfort being first and foremost.
